The Golden Meadow

Morning today when I opened the door,
I was led by an angel to a faraway shore...
There was no sky, there was no ground,
No voice, no sound; but radiance abound.

Rich or poor, young or old,
Shone with a smile, as bright as gold.
No guile, no lie, no strife, no fight,
Just a silent prayer in the quest for the right...

There was no greed, no power, no fear,
A relentless thirst for peace, so sheer!
No God, no ghost, no religion, no hate,
Here people knew love, had trust in faith...

'Is this for real,  O' angel!  Can you tell?
Or is it a dream in my mind that dwells?
I want to call my home, this land so blessed,
As precious as the jewels from the treasurer's chest!'

She smiled to me and said with a wink,
'Write this story', and lend me the ink,
Of love and warmth and kindness so pure,
'O' human set sail, for this path to steer!'
